I’m a very outgoing, diet coke drinking, stay-at-home mom. My passion for hand-quilting started when I was pregnant with my fourth child and was disheartened that I couldn't find anything blanket-wise to go in the new nursery. Since I was going for a very specific look and wanted just the right thing, my girlfriend suggested that I make the quilt for the new baby. Thus rip'd-n-stch'd was born! I love a hand-quilted quilt for my babies to snuggle up with, and they do, too! I’m excited to start this new adventure with a line of hand-quilted, modern log cabin quilts.
Rip’d-n-stchd quilts offer the best of both worlds: the personality and versatility of modern fabric styles combined with the craftsmanship and love of traditional hand-quilting. I machine-piece the quilt top, then hand-stitch the entire thing for the unmistakable finish and texture that only hand-quilting provides. Depending on the size of the quilt, each is finished with either a satin binding (great for babies to snuggle with) or a 2-3 border scheme.
